Have you ever bought a piece of equipment that you thought would come in very handy only to leave it lying around for months because you could not figure out how to set it up? Or not set all the functions up, because it would have cost hours to read through the handbook, which looked as if it had been translated by a computer anyway?
Most people have experienced the situation at some time or another. I had an alarm clock once that had dozens of features like waking me up at diverse times on the weekend to during the week and randomly selecting a radio channel every day to wake me up. It also had a feature with which I could train it to understand some voice commands, but I could not be bothered with all that.
I simply wanted it to wake me up whenever I set it. Video recorders are similar items. How many times do you hear of people setting their video recorder to record a film only to get a documentary on another channel? It used to occur a lot, didn’t it?
The point that I am getting at here is that the designers of these instruments have been told to put as many functions as possible into them up to a price in order to be all things to all people. However, in making their equipment so convoluted, a great deal of people decide not to bother using them at all and will avoid that make in the future, which is the precise opposite of what the manufacturers wanted.
The next time you go out looking for some electronic gadget, you will say to yourself: “Oh, So-And-So, you need a diploma to use one by So-And-So. I’m not buying one of theirs”.

In this age of technological advancement where so much information is so accessible, one should be careful about what they focus on. So much information can also be the cause of undue stress. Bad news that we allow into our consciousness might overwhelm us with negative thoughts if we allow these to do so.
If we listen to the news that deals with crimes and end of the world scenarios, we would easily get worries and stressed out. This is harmful to us. So, if we keep on listening to this stressful information, your situation deteriorates.
On the other end, if we choose not to read nor listen to these types of programs, but choose to focus on the positive values, life would have a more positive outlook.
If you remain a cynic, why don’t you take time to examine yourself for a week?
If you decide to experiment, try not to change your environment and your attitude intentionally when you go on your regular daily course. Keep tab of your reactions every time you choose either to read, to listen or to watch the things you normally would do. If you feel negative, then put a check on the feeling disturb side, but if you feel positive, put a check on the feeling good side. There should be at least a balance to both sides.
Understand that you do have a choice as to what you let in your mind. You do have the choice of making life a lot less stressful. You have the choice of leading a better, healthier, and more positive life.

The job interview is done and whether or not you did well, it was all a good learning experience.
Now the hard part comes, waiting for the results. Many times people will find that the waiting process is often more difficult than the interview. It is the wondering whether or not you got the job that makes this time so trying because you wonder what the decision will be in the back of your mind.
Unless you provided wrong information to the interviewer, do not keep replaying the interview over and over in your mind. If you are looking for mistakes you made in the interview you are bound to find some. It is needless torment.
Do continue your job search or keep busy during the waiting period. If you find that you did indeed give the interviewer the wrong information do a follow up as soon as you discover your mistake and explain to them what happened and give them the correct information especially if it is something they will base their decision on.
If you have applied and interviewed for a driving job for example, and the interviewer asked whether you had any speeding tickets in the last three years and you said yes, only to realize later that it was four years ago, you will want to call and correct that error.
However, if you are quoting sales data and you happen to underestimate the amount of sales made in a given period of time, it will probably be best to just leave the information as is.
Keeping yourself busy after the interview and while you are waiting for a decision is crucial. If you did not get the job you can use this as a learning tool.
If there were questions in the interview that you would have answered differently or provided more detail about, just make sure that you remember this information for your next interview.
