“Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today” doesn’t apply to the young, they think they can procrastinate for as long as they like. Remember those days? I do, and I also know now how precious time is and I try to utilize every moment. I have a few hints here to help you do the same, and to stop wasting time on tasks we shouldn’t even be bothering about.
Hands up all of you who have found yourself staring at the TV just because its there, and not because you’re actually watching it? Hours of precious time is wasted in this way, next time a program comes on that you aren’t interested in, get up and do something else. Don’t waste any more time.
We are all guilty of stopping an important task midstream to watch a TV show, well the easy way to stop this is to record it. That way you get all your tasks done and can enjoy the show at your leisure, cutting out the commercials will save enormous amounts of time over a week or so.
Be organized and efficient with your schedule; make the use of time that would otherwise be wasted. Say, for example, you need to renew your licence and you know that there will be at least a 2 hour wait, utilize this time, and don’t waste it.
Think about this logically, would you ever just stand or sit in the house for 2 hours without doing anything? Of course you wouldn’t, take something with you such as a self improvement book or a study book if you have exams coming up.
A lot of time is wasted while driving, and although you may be thinking that this time can’t be utilized, it can! Audio books and podcasts can be downloaded and you can listen to them while you drive, you will absorb the information better and not be in any danger of falling asleep either!
Don’t be put off by learning in this way by thinking it will be distracting, a radio is a lot worse as your mind can start and wander and you can lose concentration.
These are only a few ideas as to how to save time. Everyone has their own schedule and now best how to utilize their time, but these tips will have undoubtedly helped.
